How DYS Is Different
Unlike many clubs, our coaches are unpaid volunteers who donate their time for the love of the sport and the opportunity to make a difference in the lives of local athletes.
Our coaching staff brings experience from the Club, recreation, and high school levels.
Over the past several seasons, DYS Club Volleyball teams have consistently placed among the top teams in their respective age groups.
Our operational expenses are primarily offset through fundraising efforts, allowing DYS Volleyball to operate with very little overhead.
Because we operate as a co-op, we develop a pro forma each season and establish player fees based upon the anticipated cost of operating the program.
The result is one of the region's best values for Club Volleyball.

A True Co-Op
Because we operate as a co-op, all members pitch in to help take care of the Club's business. The involvement of our families is an important part of the DYS Volleyball experience.

How We Approach the Game
Our Philosophy

The DYS Volleyball Mantra
Grateful for Everything.
Entitled to Nothing.
We believe the right attitude starts with gratitude. As coaches, we express gratitude regularly to model the behavior we are looking for from our players. We want athletes who strive to be great teammates and who embrace this philosophy.

Growth Mindset
We embrace and practice a growth mindset. Players need to learn how to fail in order to learn how to succeed. We encourage aggressive mistakes and appropriate risk-taking for the sake of long-term growth.
We are looking for players who are open-minded and willing to embrace discomfort in order to improve.
Hard Work
We work hard. Strong teams are forged through hard work toward a common goal.
We are looking for players who want to work hard with and for their teammates.
Life Lessons
We believe Volleyball provides a powerful environment for athletes to learn lessons that extend beyond the court — resilience, accountability, teamwork, humility, confidence, and how to respond when things do not go their way.
