DYS Travel Basketball places 5th grade (travel) teams into the Fairfax County Youth Basketball Travel League.
5th grade teams are typically formed and compete in FCYBL as follows – not bound by middle school:
- Girls:
- FCYBL Division 1: DYS Team 1
- FCYBL Division 2: DYS Team 2
- Boys:
- FCYBL Division 1: DYS Team 1
- FCYBL Division 2: DYS Team 2
- FCYBL Division 3: DYS Team 3
There are 12 regular season games, typically played on Saturday, with occasional Sunday or weeknight games.
Games are played throughout Fairfax County, while DYS does host home games (typically) at our facilities.
The # of teams we send to play in FCYBL will be at the discretion of the Travel Board, with the primary focus being on the skill level and development of the players in mind.
